Traffic engineering and technical personnel bear great responsibility of the national transportation infrastructure, they should complete construction projects at limited period of time with a lower cost, and have to consider the project costs and risks in expected budget, travel frequently and work overtime has become commonplace. In addition, facing the rapid update technology environment, they need to charge training at any time. Therefore, they face greater work pressure. This paper took the traffic engineering and technical personnel of Jiangsu Province Traffic and Research Institute as study objects, selected the job satisfaction which is closely related to working pressure as a variable, established the research hypothesis, questionnaired survey of220traffic engineering and technical personnel, selected SPSS16.0statistical package for analysis of survey data, and got the following conclusions:1. The occupational stress of traffic engineering and technical personnel from Jiangsu Province Transformation and Research Institute belong to higher level, job satisfaction belong to lower-middle level.2. The occupational stress of traffic engineering and technical personnel is significantly different because of the difference of the individual backgrounds.(1) The occupational stress of traffic engineering and technical personnel is significantly different because of the difference of the age and gender.(2) The occupational stress of traffic engineering and technical personnel is significantly different because of the difference of the marital status.(3) The occupational stress of traffic engineering and technical personnel is significantly different because of the difference of the position.(4) The occupational stress of traffic engineering and technical personnel is significantly different because of the difference of working time.(5) The occupational stress of traffic engineering and technical personnel is significantly different because of the difference of the level of education.3. There is a strong correlation between occupational stress and job satisfaction, and it has the ability to predict job satisfaction.
