The comparison of Chinese mother tongue education and teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages (TCSOL) is more than others in research fields of Teaching Chinese as foreign language education. Most of the research is to absorb the experience of Chinese mother tongue education and improve teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages (TCSOL). However, this thesis is based on Chinese mother tongue education, carrying on the comparison of two courses in overall system to summarize the characteristics of Chinese mother tongue education, which is totally different from the general language education. The purpose of the comparison is to absorb some experience of TCSOL to make Chinese mother tongue education follow it’s own unique law and improve teaching efficiency.There are three parts in my thesis:foreword, text and conclusion. The text includes four chapters:Foreword:explain the necessary of comparison of the two language educations and summarize the preceding achievements of others.Chapter One:the characteristics of Chinese and Chinese studying. There are many special characteristics of Chinese in the pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and characters, compared with English which belongs to Indo-European family. Different learning tactics will be searched out for different language learners in this chapter.Chapter Two:comparison of language learners. It compares them in the somatopsychic development, study needs, study environment and the way of course study.Chapter three:the comparison of two courses. It is the focal point of this thesis. By compare them in course goal, textbook content, course implementation, we conclude the characteristics of Chinese mother tongue education, which is totally different from the general language education.Chapter Four:Chinese mother tongue education should prominent its own characteristics. In this chapter, we analyse the problems in current Chinese mother tongue education first and then search the valuable experience of TCSOL to promote the efficiency of mother tongue education. Conclusion:summarize the practical siganificance in the comparison of Chinese mother tongue education and teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages (TCSOL)...
