For those loving painting and willing to take paniting as their greatest pursuance and dream, if they wish to become successful, they must use the standard of a "painter" to demand themselves, and try to highlight their own unique artistic style, thoughts and sentiment. But on the other hand, we also do a lot of things that the so-called "artisan" does. For example, we make a comprehensive view of the art culture heritages that have been widely spread in the world and are worth studying, study the murals in the coffin chambers of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, view and admire the murals and sculptures in Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang, copy the murals in Yongle Palace and Fahai Temple, learn the Nianhua of Yangliuqing famous both in China and in foreign countries, set optional courses specially for the Nianhua, shadow show, thangka and other folk arts in our schools, and so on. Artisans were not given much attention to for a long time in China’s history of painting, few of them have left their names, yet, these arts have come down one generation after another, and are getting more and more attention and protection. Some higher academies of fine arts and cultural organizations such as Central Institute of Fine Arts have also set up special workrooms to study these folk cultures; More and more painters have begun to draw nutrition from these folk paintings, to enrich their own art creation. In this paper, the author wishes to talk on his own understanding of the effect of factors of folk fine arts on China’s delicate-stroke heavy-colored figure painting, according to his experience in the learning of Chinese delicate-stroke heavy-colored figure painting.
