This article will not focus on describing Baudrillard’s whole academic system or trivial theory, but locking the concept of’hyperreality’, analyzing it through a variety of perspective, theoretical logic and particular examples, giving it a valid definition. It will be the core purpose and whole content of this paper. The concept of’hyperreality’was born in the early academic career of Baudrillard, finally finished in his later period, which could be regarded as a variant of’symbolic exchange’logic. When comes to the early Baudrillard, interprets the thinking of’symbolic exchange’will be the core task of this article. The author divides the paper into three chapters, in the part of Preface and Chapter One, the author will outline the later Baudrillard’s keyword-virtual’-and its characteristics of ’hyperreality’, use the concept of’OBJECT’and’symbolic exchange’for clues, make a brief account of Baudrillard’s academic context and ideological pedigree, reveal the formation of ’hyperreality’.Then the author will focus on discussing the definition, characteristics, specific performance and significance of’hyperreality’:Chapter Two will analyse the connotation of’hyperreality’; Chapter Three will analyse the meaning of’hyperreality’. The topics of discussion in Chapter Two are-1. Simple definition of’hyperreality’;2.’Hyperreality’of’Simulation’;3. Transparency’and’Perfect-the most typical characteristics and biggest’crimes’of ’hyperreality’. The topics of discussion in Chapter Three are-1.’Hyperreality’means the negation of dialectics;2.’Hyperreality’means the negation of alienation theory and principle of subject-object dichotomy;3.’Hyperreality’means the negation of’usefulness’. The problem to be solved in Chapter Two is what the concept of’hyperreality’itself refers to; the problem to be solved in Chapter Three is what meaning does the concept of’hyperreality’ produce on the outside system of the theory. In the part of Epilogue, the author will make a short summary of Baudrillard’s’hyperreality’, point out possible defects in his theory, and try to answer an important question of attitude-how should we think of Baudrillard’s’hyperreality’.
