In the twentieth Century, the field of political philosophy as one of the most influential figures of Hannah Arendt. She is the earliest person to reflect comprehensively and analyse systematically about the concept of "totalitarian" after the end of World War II."The origins of totalitarianism" is a great work,Arendt considers and discriminates creatively to the concent of "totalitarian",and explors the origins. Both in content and form, this work is very suitable for herself as a "political theorist" positioning.Based on the analysis of "The origins of totalitarianism" writing background and influence, this paper focuses on the three parts by studying the book of anti-Semitism,imperialism,totalitarianism.At the same time, the author combines Arendt’s theory of contemplation, observeing the anti-terrorism in the twenty-first Century, supranational, globalization and our country’s political development to analyse against totalitarianism in the contemporary context of enlightenment. The article is divided into three sections. The first chapter of "The origins of totalitarianism" writing background and modifying process. From Arendt’s writing process and changing of thought proceed combined with the background of World War II,in accordance with the time process, analyse Arendt’s writing thoughts and works effect."The origins of totalitarianism" is revised, synthesized, extended constantly to completed,so detailed description and demonstration by Arendt, rethinking the totalitarianism is Arendt’s the requirements of self understanding."The origins of totalitarianism" is such an understanding of the product.Although historians critical of its concept than the facts, thinkers feel the concept is not clear, political scientists criticize its logical argument is not tight, but for me,most important is understanding, writing is a quest to understand the question,is the understanding process components.Part two discusses "The origins of totalitarianism" the ideological purport.Through of the anti-Semitic,imperialism,totalitarianism in the three part,we try to answer three questions:one is why Jews alone were singled out as the Nazi Holocaust object;two is to explain the origin of totalitarianism;three is the description of the logic development of totalitarianism. In the first part of "anti-Semitism",Arendt analyzes the Jews--this is not a political community and without roots,nation--and the modern nation relationship. In the "imperialist" part,Arendt analyzes the imperialism to economic benefits for the purpose of expansion to the modern nation state of destruction, the capitalism infinite expansion caused a large number of surplus capital,at he same time, resulting in a large number of bankrupt aristocracy, peasants and unemployed workers, ultimately resulting in "mass" who are "without world".In the third part,Arendt on the "totalitarian" made the concept of return, defines the basic characteristics:the totalitarian ideology, terror and constant motion.Part three, the overall evaluation of "The origins of totalitarianism".From totalitarian derived elements and two kinds of new things to reflect on totalitarianism, face to the violence of differences about Arendt’s and Marx’s in the "the origins of totalitarianism",and analyse the existing problems of Arendt’s totalitarianism,To the problems of "The origins of totalitarianism",I analyse the four aspects for reference:the twenty-first Century faced to anti-terrorism,supranational,globalization and China’s political development of the time.
