This paper is based on examine the development and changing of portrait painting, considering the their own creative practice and experiences on oil painting, in order to talk about the problem of how the images of people evolved into symbolic faces in social networks throughout contemporary’jumbled information and socialization interpersonal,and searching in the technical language of oil paintings to explore a contemporary portrait painting’s generation and creation.The symbolic faces as parts of the social network coding system, make portrait paintings’connotation and denotation changed subtile. Portrait painting today is no longer painting people self, and is far beyond the question of resemblance, but do the people’symble as object in create to represent the perceptions and attitudes of the creators.
