"Dragon-Carving and The Literary Mind" is a masterpiece about ancient Chinese literarytheory which written by Liu Xie. Although there are many literary receptive theories in it, lessscholars do research for this book in literatus. Those analysis,exploration and summariesabout"dragon-carving and the literary mind"can not only broaden the scope of study, but alsoprovided useful lessons for modern Receptive Theory.This thesis aimed to draw lessons from the existing achievements,based on the the text,summarized the receptive theory from four aspects. There are receptive subject theory, receptiveobject theory, receptive process theory and receptive effect theory and so on. Besides, the thesisdiscuss the influence of literary acceptive theory about"Dragon-Carving and The LiteraryMind"from the aspects of ancient and modern.The thesis is made up of six sections:Index epigraph:The part of epigraph introduces the base case on "Dragon-Carving and TheLiterary Mind"and its research status about receptive theory briefly. According to the availableinformation, analyze the text, interpret the significance and importance of topic, discuss thereason why choose this topic and methods which would be used. In order to carry on the overallsummary and understanding under the study.Chapter I: The background and historical origin of literary receptive theory about"Dragon-Carving and The Literary Mind". From two aspects discusses the background andorigin of carving a dragon at the reception theory of unique cultural context and the formationprocess, laid a foundation for the following analysis of receptive content of "Dragon-Carving andThe Literary Mind".Chapter II: The context of literary receptive theory about "Dragon-Carving and TheLiterary Mind". This is the main part of thesis, This part expounds "Dragon-Carving and TheLiterary Mind" at the content of literature acceptance theory.Separately from the main bodycondition object accept process four aspects effect, to construct"Dragon-Carving and TheLiterary Mind" the overall framework of the theory of literary reception.First, sort out the basicaspects which receptive subject should hold from ability, big horizons, round and keepingrespectively.Second, discuss difficulties caused by restrictions about receptive object during receptive process and attributes the receptive object should hold. Third, analyze the overallreceptive process from the perspective of quiescence. Fourth, clarify literary receptive effectfrom the perspective of vertical and horizontal.Chapter III: The characteristics of literary receptive theory about "Dragon-Carving and TheLiterary Mind". There are four characteristics about literary receptive theory, the integrity ofreceptive subject and receptive object can find source by clues, the receptive process isnon-utilitarian that make indifferent to hustle and bustle, the receptive results is practical thathelp understanding the truth and correcting mistakes, and comprehensive historical views areconversant with ancient and modern learning.Chapter IV: The historical value and modern sense of literary receptive theory about"Dragon-Carving and The Literary Mind".The value of Liu Xie’s reception theory is multiple.Not only has an important influence on literary reception theory in ancient China, but also hasimportant implications for readers, writers and critics.Epilogue: In regard to efforts, existing problems and research orientation.
