“Growth”is a process from ignorance to knowledge, inevitably experienced confusion andcontusion.The theme of “growth” undergone a transmutation from “groups"” to “individual” andhave a beneficial exploration achievements.“Initiation stories”originated in the West, and it undergone a complex process in the changeof China’s development.“After1960s” is the effective strength of contemporary literature, theirnover have a rich and highly innovative pover. Based on the continued exploration andexperiment,“After1960s” do passionate creation in the literary form of “initiation stories”. Thethesis focuses on initiation stories of “After1960s”,it is divided into four parts.Introduction sections focusing on the defined development and concept of Initiation storiesin China and the West, the author draws own conclusion on the conception. From four aspects ofthe growth dynamic, the spirit of change, the process of growth and novel structure summarizesthe characteristics of the initiation stories.The text is divided into three chapters. The first chapter of Bildungsroman theme, dividedinto the theme of growth, death theme and the theme of violence. In the theme of growth, fromthe physical, psychological development and spiritual growth in three dimensions analysis; Onthe death theme, in order to understand the writer childhood memory “After1960s” death ofmemory as the premise, carries on the analysis to the Bildungsroman in the form of death, finallydraws the conclusion of the living to the dead.
