A Research About Guangzhou Daily How To Report Philanthropy,2006-2011

Philanthropy is a common topic in the world which is becoming a concern of socialundertakings. The charity of China is in the initial stage, and the modern charity culture in Chinais still not fully established. A variety of problems have to meet: the weak such as the public’sawareness of philanthropy, the organizations’ imperfect system and the law is imperfect, lack ofeffective supervision. These factors seriously constrain the development of modern philanthropy.This article is based on the steps of asking questions, analyzing problems, and solvingproblems to study the report of "Guangzhou Daily". This article is based on the theory of newsframe and from the media of social responsibility perspective to investigate the "GuangzhouDaily" how to construct the charity issues. Literature analysis, content analysis and the discourseanalysis are the basic methods for analysis of "charity" Guangzhou Daily reported.The study has found that the charity news are not been taken seriously in the newspaper.The charitable activities reports are almost started from the collective level, positive publicityand the event reports are on the dominant. The reports depend on the officials and the wealthy.The reports are lack of humanistic spirit, The narrative point of the view leaves the charity itself.Then, we will analyze the factors affecting the process of "Guangzhou Daily" Charity reportnews frame construction from the perspective of political, economic, cultural and newsconvention. Finally, we will explore the way about how to improve the charity reports.
