The Age Of The Internet Citizen Participation In The Role Of Public Opinion Formation

With the development of information technology and the Internet, the worldentered an era of Internet. As the most interactive communication tool and media,Internet is changing the way of peoples’ life. It expands the channels of politicalparticipation. However, Internet is a double-edged sword, it not only expandschannels of public opinion formation and citizens’ political participation, but alsobring some negative effects. However, we should realize that in the Internet era,citizen participation has played an irreplaceable role in the formation of publicopinion. Then, how should we see the citizen participation in the Internet era? How toevaluate the role of citizen participation in the formation of public opinion? What’sthe prospect of the citizen participation in Internet era?
