In the process of globalization, with the constant development of the world’s economy, the ecology and environment problem has been growing more and more serious and prominent day by day. As is known to all, though the western developed countries should have the inescapable responsibilities to the global environment problems, they all have their barbs pointed to the developing countries and other backward countries and areas. And through accusing, slandering and threatening these countries, they try their best to get rid of the environment responsibilities they should have. And now more and more developed countries attempt to restrict the growth of the developing countries under the plea of“environment problems”. They aim at the further economic and political expansions and thus implement the so called“ecological imperialism”act. This brings many serious ecology problems to developing countries and the whole world, threatening people’s health and blocking the sustainable development of the whole human society. Now, It’s visible that the study of“ecological imperialism”has been very important and urgent, and it’s becoming the hot issues for the academia to study. However, because“ecological imperialism”is still a new subject, the systematic and comprehensive studies on it has been very less. In view of this, the paper decides to have studies on“ecological imperialism”as the theme. It’s based on the relevant theories of Liebig, Marx, Engels and other previous scholars, and has a detailed discussion and description on the concept, historical origin and process of development, root of generating, main expressions and other content of“ecological imperialism”, and also does some innovative studies. Moreover, the paper reveals the“imperialism”nature of developed countries and the global ecology disasters and serious results it creates. All of these aim at criticizing the developed countries’ecological crimes and finding out the roots of the environmental degradation of the whole world, and finally returning the developing countries an“innocence”. Of course, the paper also hopes to strengthen people’s concern and understandings on“ecological imperialism”in order to provide a solid foundation for criticizing and resisting it. At the same time, the paper propose that if we want to eliminate and solve the ecological crisis completely, we must overthrow capitalism and establish socialism. As China is also in the international background of globalization, we will certainly suffer various effects from“ecological imperialism”in the construction of socialism. Therefore, in order to improve the quality of our environment continuously and promote the socialist construction, we should always keep a high alert and take effective measures actively to deal with the harm of“ecological imperialism”from domestic and international levels. And this is also another study focus of the paper. In a word, when facing various injustices, our country and people all over the world should unite and make great efforts to fight for the environmental and international justice in order to build a new harmonious international order.
