The formation and development of the Communist Party’s thought on middlepeasants should not be a figment but a process associated with the long-term Chineserevolution and modernization construction.Meanwhile, the Communist Party’s thoughton middle peasants isn’t come form nowhere but rooted in theMarxism-Leninism.Moreover, the formation and development of the thought should be avariable process.Adhering to the historical development, this paper makes a textualresearch on the theoretical origins of the concept of "middle peasants" with theorystudy.This paper laid the heavy stress on the transformation of the thought on middlepeasants from the the Great Revolution, the Agrarian Revolution, Anti-Japanese War, theLiberation War, early years of the People’s Republic, the socialist transformation period,the period of socialist construction, the "Cultural Revolution" period until the end of the"Cultural Revolution" in which the thought had fade away.Reviewing the transformation of the thought, we can see the CPC’s policy onmiddle peasants reveals similarities and differences in various periods.The common thingis the policymaking always based on unity, but differs in degree at different period.Themain reason and background for these policies have both connections and differences areclosely linked with the historical mission of different periods taking by the party.Anoverall view on the transformation of the thought indicates CPC had always unified allpossible strengths to form an alliance to serve the different task of the party at differenttime.In the mass, although there are some mistakes, the Communist Party’s policies onmiddle peasants are successful. The experience of successes is valuable, and so is theexperience of mistakes and defeats. Only to sum up both positive and negativeexperiences, we can develop better.In the critical period of building a moderatelyprosperous society, the basic experience and lessons from the making and implementingof the middle peasant policy have important theoretical and practical significance ondealing with the problem of polarization between the rich and the poor, problems of classcontradictions, problems of achieving common prosperity and etc..
