China and India, which are two important countries in Asia, always havecontradictions in Tibet issue. So it is important to solve and deal with the Tibet issuewell to the development of Sino-India relations. What’s more, the relationshipbetween India and Tibetan is the foundation to solve the Tibet issue between Chinaand India.After People’s Republic of China was founded in1949, India and Chinaestablished diplomatic relations, and both sides decided to negotiate Tibet issue bytheir respective consideration. In1953, the Indian government put forward tonegotiate with China in Tibet issue, and the Chinese government responded its requestactively. At the end of this year, the two countries began to negotiate trading problemsin Tibet. The negotiation lasted more than four months which including settingbusiness agency and providing convenience for pilgrims. Finally, in1954, the twocountries signed the “Agreement between the Republic of India and the People’sRepublic of China on Trade and Intercourse between Tibet Region of China andIndia”.Through the analysis of the negotiations,the paper evaluates the negotiations andthe agreements reached during the process from the perspective of economic trade,and believes that the agreement did not actually eliminate inequality in the Tibetanregion of China and India trade.
