Indian nationalism was catalyzed by Britain's colonization and has two different natures in different periods of Indian's history: the positive nature which was manifested at the time of its national revolution which was to gain independence from Britain's control; the negative nature was manifested after India had gained its independence and strived to achieve its"dream of being a superpower"with the reality of being a developing Country, and during this process, India's nationalism involved into regional hegemonism gradually. As two geographically adjacent Countries who share a similar history of being invaded by foreign Countries, China and India, supported each other during the revolution of independence in each Country, and had enjoyed good friendship for ages in history, however, because of the narrowed Indian nationalism, the bi-lateral relationship between China and India is not always smooth ever since both Country had gained independence. This article proceeds from the Marx, Engel as well as Lenin est.'s point of view, analyzed the birth, characteristics and evolvement of Indian nationalism, its reason, as well as its impact on China-India relationship, from which it unveiled the fact that the narrowed Indian nationalism is the main obstacle in the way of China-India relationship, and the proposal for minimizing the impact is to reinforce mutual trust.
