As a super-power in the world, the U.S. is facing the challenge from China in terms ofits overall capacity and international status. The U.S. is keeping its eye on China, andpays much attention on relation-building with Asian countries as well. It’s importantfor the U.S to develop security relations with India, which is part of the U.S’Asia-Pacific strategy. For many years, the U.S. and India have built close relationsand have made deep cooperation in the fields of military, energy, etc. Now U.S.-Indiastrategic partnership is all around developing. India and China are both big powers inthe same area. India has long treated China as its biggest competitor, whom willchallenge India on developing and improving international status in Asia. To make its“major power” dream come true, India can never lose the game playing with China.The competition between China and the U.S. is becoming overwhelming, whichlocates both of them in the “strategic inside line”. In order to contain China, India,who is located in the “strategic outside line”, makes use of it to develop securityrelation with the U.S. Therefore, China is facing challenge coming from India-U.S. Tomaintain a stable surrounding security environment and prolong its strategicopportunity period, China has to figure out proper strategic solutions. China shouldmake full use of the problems and the weak point of the India-U.S. security relation,which means on one hand, to improve the relation with India positively by letting theeconomic relation push towards the political relation, and to enhance the U.S.-Chinacoexistence by doing more adjustment in the world affairs.
