Study On Rawls’s Conception Of Envy

Justice is the eternal value of human and the primary virtue of social system. Whenconstructing any theory of justice, we can not ignore the problem of envy. Rawls’stheory of justice is not exception. Of course we can’t copy reappearance of Rawls’stheory of justice, but he pointed out that we should eliminate the evil of human nature--envy, pursue social ideal, and listen to his some moral advice and politicalsuggestions. Now our country is building a comprehensive well-off society andharmonious society, studying on Rawls’s envy of view can enrich and develop thetheory of Marx research domain, strengthen pair of vulnerable groups of humanisticcare and psychological counseling, cultivating social self-esteem, rational and positiveattitude.The thesis is divided into six parts:The first part: introduction. Introduce the topic of theoretical and practical significance,domestic and foreign research trends and the topics of the research content and method.The second part: use the diachronic and synchronic research methods to research theorigin and development of western envy, pointing out that academic origin of Rawls’envy. From three dimensions: the era, culture and personal, talk about Rawls’s envy.The third part: talk about the relation between Rawls and Kant on envy and self-esteem, envy and equality. Part fourth: tell the relationship between envy and justice.This paper mainly focuses on Rawls’s envy and the original position and therelationship between the two principles of justice. Part fifth: the paper’s theorysignificance and practice significance. Rawls’s theory of justice and envy view hasimportant reference value on the construction of harmonious society, ideological andpolitical education. The sixth part: the conclusion and prospect. Talk about advantagesand problems of the concept of Rawls’s envy. Rawls’s method is not thorough, whichcan alleviate the envy. only in Communist society, in realizing the comprehensivedevelopment of people free kingdom, eliminating private ownership can eliminateenvy.
