From January to August in2010,17suicidal incidents had happened in Foxconn Technology Group (hereinafter referred to as "Foxconn"), the world’s biggest OEM enterprise. This series of incidents, which is called "chain jump" by the media, caused the tragedy of13people who passed away and4people who were hurt. This caused extensive attention of the whole society. In folk, the media, the social groups, the intellectuals and even ordinary people all use their own ways to reflect, discuss and act to the "chain jump".Now, The public discussion about "chain jump" had died down, but people’s attention about the reasons for "jumping from a building", about the plight of over1million Foxconn employees and about the Foxconn management operation mode has not stopped. When people cherish the memory of the lost life, more people want to know how to avoid the tragedy fundamentally. Our country is called the "world factory", with150million people engaged in foundry industry. People realized that such "serial events about jumping from a building" is not occasional special events, but a symbol and a warning.Meanwhile, people also find that the further discussion to the above questions is not easy. Foxconn, the OEM "empire", with more than1million employees, produces almost all famous electronic products of high-end all over the world, but it actually is mysterious. It seems that it has a high wall. People don’t know that whether the raised wages, the psychological counseling and the care hotline can solve the problem of the employees or not. People also don’t know whether Foxconn, the so called law-abiding "model enterprise", has the sense of social responsibility. There is no doubt that most people do not know how much sweat and toil the workers in Foxconn have paid from generation to generation for the halo of "OEM Empire" The author has four years of work experience in Shenzhen Foxconn in Longhua and Guanlan factory, so the author has a through firsthand experience of Foxconn management mode. Therefore, the author knows the advantages and disadvantages of this mode well. Based on this experience, this kind of perceptual knowledge of Foxconn combined with the theory knowledge in graduate course and the collection and collation of the relevant information and data, the author made the research report. The author hopes it can reveal Foxconn employee’s real production life, and finds out the problems about the management of the Foxconn factory and puts forward the proposal to this. The author also hopes that the Foxconn can contribute to our country’s GDP and at the same time carry out the legal rights of the workers, improve the welfare of the workers and assume full corporate social responsibility. As the national and global enterprise which has an important influence, any improvement in worker’s circumstances, any balance in improving labor-capital relations and any improvement of promoting the enterprise’s social responsibilities will be helpful for repairing the severely damaged enterprise image, and will also have strong demonstrative effect for China’s social and economic transformation.At the same time, the author knows that it is not only the responsibility of the enterprise but also the duty of the government to improve the lives of the workers situation and protect the lawful rights and interests of the enterprise responsibility. Therefore, the author also hopes that this investigation can provide the reference basis of policy formulation and implementation to the relevant departments to improve the welfare and social position of the workers, and it can make the social and economic development more harmonious and balanced.
