After the Cold War, Northeast Asia regional security environment has greatlychanged, become the hot zone which the big powers seek a new balance. Northeast Asiatoday is the intersection area of the strategic interests of world powers, converge theinterests of the four countries, China, the United States, Japan, Russia, but alsoconverges the interests of small states such as South Korea, North Korea. From the viewof geographic point, the United States is not a Northeast Asian country, but there it has ahuge benefit. As the only superpower, the United States involved in almost all majorNortheast Asian security affairs, and which play a crucial roleIn this paper, America factors of the structure of northeast Asian security after thecold war as the main research object. the first the security situation of Northeast Asiaafter the Cold War were analyzed by an overview of the formation of the securitypattern in Northeast Asia and Northeast Asia before and after the Cold War securitypattern evolution contrast more comprehensive knowledge and understanding of thesafety status of the Northeast Asian region; followed by use of historical research,comparative research methods, analysis of the relationship between the United Statesand Northeast Asian countries, the security policy adjustment and the adjustmentpolicies reasons after the end of the Cold War. The last, use of case studies with regionalsecurity hot issues case analysis, analysis the U.S. factor in the security pattern to theNorth Korean nuclear issue in Northeast Asia for example.Finally concluded that among the various factors affecting the security ofNortheast Asia, the United States is one of the most critical factor, which was deeplyinvolved in the affairs of Northeast Asia and had seriously interfered in the internalaffairs of sovereign states in the region, affected the region normal relations betweencountries, intensified the focus problems of the region and posed a serious harm toregional security. Accurate analysis of the U.S. factor in the security pattern in NortheastAsia are of great benefit to grasp the bilateral relations of the United States and Northeast Asian countries and future trends, as well as multilateral security mechanismin Northeast Asia.
