| Background and AimThere is large proportion of women with disabilities in the disability groups.They are the most vulnerable groups. However,Less information is given by relevent investigation. The difficulty things they face in life is not taken seriously enough.Therefore, we should pay attention to the lives of disable group, study the problem they face and fill up the gap between disability groups and groups of healthy people in order to realize harmonious society of win-win between the strong group and weak group. This study uses existing data to describe the2006National Sample Survey on Disability of Henan Province, provide scientific data for drawing up the prevention and treatment strategies.ObjectsThe object of this investigation is the certain group who are People’s Republic of China resident and live in Henan Province.MethodsThe adoped data of the investigation comes from the Second Nationwide Disable People Survey Data Base in2006by the disable association of Hennan provice. Sampling adoped stratified, cluster, probability,proportionate, multi-stage sampling method, the door to the registration, the household survey, screening and Disability Assessment. The invetigation cover disabilities quantity, structure, geographical distribution, the leading cause of disability living conditions as well as rehabilitation, education, employment and other aspects of the actual situation. The data of second national sampling of disabled population in Henan province was analyzed with SPSS15.0software. Results1. The prevalence rate of women with disabilities is7.91%.The single disability accounted for80.86%(3751/4639).Multiple disabilities accounted for19.14%(888/4639), Among six types of disabilities, physical disabilities holds proportion the biggest; the number of the disable women is on the rise in accordance with age growing(χ2=7845.783P=0.000). From the severity of disability, disability population of women, visual disabilities, physical disabilities and mental disability grade4disability hold larger proportion which respectively take up51.77%,45.72%and40.53%in heavy degree.2. The Henan women’s disability prevalence is the highest in Puyang City and the lowest in Xinxiang City,which rates9.94%and5.93%respectively. Among those disable women, the rate of country residence accounted for91.29%(4235/4639).3. Leading women’s leading cause of disability:visual disability were cataract (1.24%), hearing disability is presbycusis (1.4%), speech disability, mainly due to unknown reasons (0.17%), cerebral disease as the main reason of physical disability (0.71%), the main reason of intellectual disability of unknown cause (0.5%), schizophrenia as the main reason of mental disability (0.33%). Disability types mentioned above all include multiple disabilities.4. Among disability women in the survey, junior high school education accounted for29.33%; high school degree or above accounted for2.33%.Only31.66%of women with disabilities receive education (1440/4549).Among women with disabilities,high school education above accounted for the low proportion. The survey found that only34.17%of women with disabilities participate in social insurance, mainly in medical insurance and industrial injury insurance (29.77%,0.09%,0.06%). The Unemployment Insurance rate is almost zero; in the rehabilitation needs of medical service,71.59%want medical service recommendations;41.80%want auxiliary apparatus,38.61%hope to get the rehabilitation training and service. Among them, medical service demand is higher tan the other two (χ2=995.639P=0.001; χ2=1188.419P=0.001), which shows the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions1. The women disablities in Henan is at high rate, with various types and in heavy degree.2. The main reason of disabling is chronic disease/senile degeneration.3. For the disable women, especially those in country, the current living is effected by education, employment, marrige,and social security. The effective interence and aids should be given to improve their living quality. |
