As a major country with political and economic interests in the Middle East, France showed its active attitude and the firm position in Iran nuclear problem. On the Iran nuclear issue France didn’t agree with Iran’s development of nuclear weapons, but strongly opposed the use of force to resolve the issue, which is completely different from the tough stance of the United States. This thesis devotes four chapters to discuss the French intervention in Iran nuclear issues.The first chapter introduces the historical process of Iran nuclear issue and discusses its effect and crux. The second chapter introduces the relationship between France and Iran and discusses the motivation of French intervention in Iran nuclear issue. The third chapter mainly discusses the mediation mode of the French intervention in Iran nuclear issue. Dialogue and consultation are the main ways adopted by France in promoting the solvement of the Iranian nuclear issue. France plays an active part both in the critical dialogue involving the three countries of the European Union and UN P5+1consultation mechanism.
