Marx's "production" Category In Contemporary Development

The theory about "means of production" is a main content of Marxist politicaleconomics. Traditional opinions about category of production goods only means "thematerial means of production",which has been challenged by the "Knowledge Economy"with the advent of the modern scientific and technological revolution these days.In fact, the category of production means system has already broken the category of“material means of production” specified in the traditional Marxist economics. Themental-form means of production such as scientific knowledge, information, technologywhich are ignored by the traditional Marxist economics, not only is the proper meaning ofMarx’s "means of production" category, but also has been prominent and become adominant force in means of production system. Theoretically it should to extend thetraditional Marx’s "means of production" category and include mental-form means ofproduction.This thesis makes a systematic study about the concept, feature, basic form and theowner of "mental means of production", also gives a detailed account about the greatsignificance of extending the Marxist theory of "means of production".
