President Hu Jintao proposed the idea of guiding the cadres and the general, especially teenagers, to set up the "Eight honors and Eight disgraces" as the main contents of the socialist sense of honor or disgrace. But in order to establish it, we should develop their moral sense of shame, because it’s the premise for people to perform their social moral obligation and cultivate their social moral responsibility. If it doesn’t exist, the conscience and moral responsibility cannot survive. Either,if we lack it, it’s hard for us to discipline ourselves and solve problems. This thesis takes the college students as the research object and is based on the contemporary college students’ sense of shame situation. It makes a deep analysis on the necessity, feasibility and particularity of the education on college students’ sense of shame. Besides, this paper’s focal point is educational measure of college students’sense of shame.The first part of this thesis is theoretical analysis on shame education. Based on moral education theory, the author defines " sense of shame " and analyzes the feature of it. Also, it is established in the research of moral psychology, which point out the generative mechanism of sense of shame, that is, the good in the inner sense of shame is the intrinsic value of the generating judgment; social moral evaluation is the social value spirit for the formation of it and social morality is the actual ethical environment to form it. By this, we can define and make a functional analysis of shame education.The second part of this thesis is college students’ sense of shame situation by questionnaire survey. First, we find that on macroscopic the college students agree with the "eight honors and eight disgraces", parts of which cannot distinguish them in specific situation. Second, the sense of shame in students is obviously tend to decline, parts of whom has a high understanding and tolerability of shameless action. Last but not least, some of the students lack a firm moral belief of it, for example, parts of them cannot realize their fault in real situations. Meanwhile, we should analyze it from three parts, including social reality, the traditional sense of shame culture and shame education, and try to make the research more objective and more real.The third part of this thesis is the analysis on the necessity, feasibility and particularity of college students’ education about the sense of shame. This part comes to the Highlights of the thesis. To make the sense of shame education more effective and more nichetargeting, author analyses this part in detail which is based on two key points "sense of shame education" and "college student" so as to provide theoretical support for constructing a new model of college students’sense of shame education.The forth part of this thesis is educational measure of college students’sense of shame. Author proposes an idea to innovate the concept of sense of shame and perfect the content system of sense of shame education form the following three points of view:based on the socialist sense of honor or disgrace, building the content system of shame education; integrated into Chinese traditional sense of shame culture; Borrow the beneficial ingredients of western traditional sense of quilt culture. Start from five elements of moral development:cognition, emotion, belief, will and behavior to construct implementation model of sense of shame education; From the following three aspects:organization and leadership mechanism, rewards and punishments incentive mechanism, evaluation feedback mechanism, which are beneficial to perfect college students’sense of shame education, so as to strengthen organizational management, and establish long effect mechanism of sense of shame education; Finally, the author thinks that if we want to receive actual effect in sense of shame education, we must optimize social environment to provide environmental support for college students’sense of shame education.The innovations of this thesis are the following four points:firstly, with moral education theory as a foundation, this thesis defines "sense of shame" in the category of morality, and distinguishes it from the concept of western psychology——"shame". Secondly, it does an empirical survey about the current situation of the contemporary college students’ shame, attempting to make the research of topics more objective and more close to reality. Thirdly, based on these two key points "sense of shame education" and "college student", this thesis analyses systematically the necessity, feasibility and particularity of college students’ education about the sense of shame, which makes the providing of measures more objective and more effective.
