A Study Of Contemporary Shame Cultivation

Currently,The development of our country is in a transition,people’s moral ideas has changed subsequently. Chinese traditional morality has been attracted by the invasion of the western culture,some immoral phenomenon appeared frequently and intensely. Such as neglecting the old on the groundjaywalking,scribbling on the tourist attractions,betraying the body in exchange for fame and wealth and so on. The reasons are complex,but lacking of shame is one of the most important reasons. Shame is a negative psychological experience for malignant quality and evil behavior.And this psychological experience can make people avoid making shameful things.Lacking of this emotion, people can do anything immoral and illegal relentlessly. So having shame and cultivating it are important measures to strengthen the construction of the morality. The paper regards the contemporary shame cultivation as the thesis,base on the analysis of shame,shame cultivation characteristics,the necessity and the feasibility to optimizing the content of shame cultivation,innovating the methods of shame cultivation,fostering the environment of shame cultivation,promoting individual moral cultivation and enhancing the contemporary shame,subsequently improving the social members’ morality.This paper consists of introduction and three parts. The introduction part mainly expounds the purpose,significance of the topic,current research status both here and abroad,research methods and innovation. The first part is the basis of the article, mainly discusses the contemporary shame cultivation and its related theory from three aspects,they’re China’s traditional shame thought,western shame thought and the shame thought of Marxism.Meanwhile analyzes the characteristics of the contemporary shame cultivation.The second part mainly elaborated the necessity and feasibility of contemporary shame cultivation from three aspects the current social status of the shame,the shortage of shame cultivation before and the target of enhancing morality,fostering talents. To expound the feasibility by analyzing the acquired nature of the shame,the transition of shame cultivation and the inner development process of shame cultivation. The third part is the focus of the article.In this part the article puts forward the countermeasures of optimizing the contemporary shame cultivation. In content,it expounds the education of honor and disgrace,self-esteem education and justice education. On the method,it emphasizes practical cultivation methods of four, including theoretical method,practice education,comparative education and interactive teaching method. On the environment,this part highlights that we should pay attention to the edification of family atmosphere,campus atmosphere,network atmosphere and social ethos. In the end, the article regards individual moral cultivation’s development as the foothold,putting forward four methods to foster people’s shame——constant learning and thought,self-supervision and self-discipline, thoughts harmonizes behaviors and accumulates goodness.
