The Exploring Of Alienation Needs Of Modern Society

Man has the need nature which has been embodied invariably in the human relationship and in the human-object relationship. Human should depend on the needs to realize himself and achieve or develop his need of rough practical activity. The animals can’t do this, they only inherit their original lust, whether their object of desire or their desire for the object are all limited、passivity or meaningless. That’s to say they can’t express themselves freely as the man do by the needs and their desire can’t upgrade to be the needs which belong to humans. But it is odd that the needs of human may degrade to the animals’desire and the more intensity of the desire, the more feeble of the feature of human beings.In the industrial society with capital market rapid developed, market-oriented economy is the distinguishing feature and the content are based on exchange which essence is the exchange of labor.And when the emerge of money which take the role of medium, such exchange has become great characteristic. On the one hand it could make the labor which is the intrinsic essential keep in reserve by the form of material. As a result, the pilferage, deceive and robbing which make human’s labor, the real needs of human being, becoming narrow, sham, dirty. And the more the money becoming as the capital, the more human’s labor being enslaved or catabolic. The immediate consequence is the enslaving of human’s needs. Carl Marx has mentioned the phenomenon of alienation of man’s needs in〈1844years economic and philosophical manuscripts〉. According to this, I raised the question of alienation of man’s needs proceeding in the malady needs of modern society and based on Marx’s alienated theory plus his need’s theory. And I have probed into this question deeply.The article consists of four parts:the preface and the three chapters. In the preface part, I have stated the cause of selection of this subject and the significance of my research; reviewed the current research situation of alienated needs in the academic circles of domestic and overseas. In the first chapter, I have defined the alienated needs, and analyzed its essence and connotation. Then analyzed the being existence of the alienated needs of modern society on the base of the Alienated Theory and the needs Theory of Marx’s deeply. In the second chapter, come to the point. In the first place, I have enumerated several expressions of alienated needs in modern society:needs being materialization, needs being tools and needs being polarization. In the second place, I have analyzed some reasons of the phenomenon of alienated needs from three aspects. The first cause is the impact of market economy. The second cause is the deficiency of rationality of social order. The third cause is the prevalent of consumerism values and the deficiency of socialism values. In the third chapter, I have shown my own view about how to eliminate the alienated needs of modern society. On the one hand, we could eliminate alienated needs by realistic way. Firstly, we could appeal to the reasonable social order. Secondly, the reasonable needs values should be internalized into everybody’s mind. Finally, the scientific developing concept of people oriented put into practice completely. On the second hand, we could eliminate the alienation of man’s needs thoroughly by ideal way. However, eliminating alienation of man’s needs is a long and difficult history course because of the division of labor and the private ownership which bring about the alienation of man’s needs. By that as it may, we have no reason to give up our endeavors. After all, any qualitative changes is on the condition that quantity changes. We are full of confidence that the richness of man’s needs will come true.
