Since the publication of Marx's Manuscript of Economics and Philosophy in1844,Marx's concept of alienation has become a hot topic of discussion.However,it was found that after the publication of the Manuscript of Economics and Philosophy in 1844,the frequency of Marx's use of the concept of alienation was significantly reduced.Therefore,scholars have come up with the following views,The Manuscript of Economics and Philosophy in 1844 is the "mature apex" of Marx's thought,while Capital is the "decay and weakening" of Marx's creative ability.Artificially dividing Marx's alienation theory into two parts has affected our overall understanding of alienation theory and evaluation of alienation theory.This article finds out through the analysis of the origin of Marx's alienation theory and the development of Marx's use of the concept of alienation in the Manuscript of Economics and Philosophy in 1844,Comments on Mill,German Ideology,and Economics manuscript 1857-1858,Marx did not abandon the use of the concept of alienation after Economics and Philosophy in 1844,but explained the concept of alienation in the process of theoretical construction of scientific socialism and political economy.In Capital,Marx took commodity analysis as a starting point,discussed the relationship between wage labor and capital in the fields of commodity production and circulation,and responded to the earlier circular argument on private property and alienated labor;The analysis of the three major fetishisms has deepened the theoretical connotation of the alienation theory;The analysis of the development of capitalist industrial division of labor and the use of machines in Capital laid the foundation for understanding the new changes that alienation has brought along with the development of capitalist productive forces.After sorting out the development of the alienation theory in Capital,it is found that Marx not only extended and further explained the concept of alienated labor in the Manuscript of Economics and Philosophy in 1844 based on the continuousdeepening of political economic research.In the process of analysing the fetishism phenomenon in the capitalist society,it revealed the alienation of social relations covered by objects and the psychological alienation of people in the capitalist society.Both in terms of theoretical depth and epistemic logic,the understanding of the alienation problem in Capital has risen to a new level.The completion of Capital has achieved the sublimation of Marx's understanding of alienation theory.Marx's development of the theory of alienation in Capital,not only lays the foundation for a correct and comprehensive understanding of Marxist doctrine at the theoretical level,but also points out the direction for understanding the changes of alienation in the development of contemporary society at the practical level.The alienation phenomenon that has emerged in the course of China's socialist development has guided the realization of the Communist ideal.
