The Study Of Yu Guangyuan’s View On Marxism

Yu Guangyuan, a renowned contemporary Marxist theorist in China, has engaged in academic study for70years. As a social worker in Marxism, he put his heart and soul into the practice of socialist revolution and construction and always persisted in the guiding role of Marxism. He studied new situations and solved new problems according to the practical situation in China and the practical needs, and he dedicated his life to the study of Marxism. Diligent and sagacious, so far Yu Guangyuan had written many essays and books and he had acquired a great achievement in the study of Marxism, which has made significant contributions to the development of Marxism in China. He is a "Unshakable Marxist". Yu Guangyuan had his own opinions in the study of Marxist Theory, and developed his own distinctive view on Marxism.Yu Guangyuan’s view on Marxism is a result of specific historical background and subjective conditions. First, in the respect of historical background, decent home education and elegant school education provided the foundation, furthermore, the spread of Marxism and the development of social practice made it possible and necessary for the generation of Yu Guangyuan’s view on Marxism. Second, from the subjective conditions, patriotism and self-consciousness of practice were the spiritual motive force; and industrious learning spirit and realistic and pragmatic were the requisite foundation.In accordance with Yu Guangyuan’s theoretical study, practice and the obtained achievements during different periods, his view on Marxism can be categorized as burgeon, formation, maturity and penetration. In this section, the exposition is mainly based on Yu Guangyuan’s practical experience and theoretical achievements and proved by the development level of his view on Marxism.Yu Guangyuan’s view on Marxism contains two aspects. First, how to look upon Marxism, including his views on the source, content system, characteristic and essential regularity of Marxism. Second, how to treat Marxism. He held that we should develop the theory of Marxism basing on upholding the scientific principles and spirit of Marxism and strengthen the publicity and education actively; meanwhile, we should carry out investigation and research on the basis of sticking to the principles of seeking truth from facts and then understand Marxism truly.Yu Guangyuan’s view on Marxism is a product of social practice and the background of times, which is highly valuable in modern China. It not only has a profound theoretical significance to the establishment of school of Dialectics of Nature in China and the development of theory about Marxism’s localization in China, but also a guarding and reference value for people to acquire a correct view of Marxism. Moreover, Yu Guangyuan’s excellent qualities during his study of Marxism are worth learning by every Marxist theorist.
