To Foster The Sense Theory In The Process Of Building A Harmonious Society The Public Charity

The so-called public charity consciousness refers to theunderstanding and cognition of the charity, which is emotionally basedon the sympathetic resonance spontaneously generated by the public,influenced by various factors in the social life such as culture andeducation, economic development and religious custom an and it isformed after a long-term development. It is a symbol of the progress ofsocial civilization and the premise on which the vigorous developmentof charity could be made, and the important power which can easesocial conflicts and achieve both the all-round development of theindividuals and the healthy development of the society.However, with the development of economy and culture, thebudding public charity consciousness of China lags behind the needsfor social development in many aspects. In2010, the National TwelfthFive-Year Plan, put forward clearly the importance of enhancing thecharitable consciousness of the whole society, of accelerating thedevelopment of charity, of improving tax preferential policies on thepublic welfare donations actively, and of cultivating the charitableorganizations vigorously. Therefore, the research on the cultivation ofpublic charity consciousness has become an important content ofpromoting the harmonious development of the society.This paper mainly clarifies the dynamic role of public charityconsciousness in the charity behavior and analyzes the reasons for thecurrent deficiencies of charity consciousness in our country from theperspective of constructing a harmonious society, thus seizing the key ofthe problem, and putting forward the countermeasures to cultivate thepublic charity consciousness effectively.The first part of this paper elaborates on the basic concept andcharacteristics of charity and charity consciousness, and discusses briefly the viewpoints of the classical writers of Marx doctrine on charityand charity consciousness, and points out that the important roleplayed by the cultivation of charity consciousness in the construction ofa harmonious society in China.The second part of this paper, taking the historical development asthe clue, explores the cultural origin of the public charity consciousnessin our country, and analyzes the public charity consciousnesscharacterized by the idea of "love" of ancient China, the public charityconsciousness characterized by "trying to save the country"of themodern times and the public charity progressing "from disruption torecovery" after the foundation of the Peoples Republic of China.The third part of this paper, combined with the major social eventson charity which occurred in the recent years, states the fact that thegeneral public of China are concerned about the charity more andmore, but, at the same time, some concepts on charity which lagbehind the development of society are ubiquitous. Then, in this part, theauthor analyzes the reasons for the immaturity of public charityconsciousness in China from the perspectives both of the history and ofthe reality of China.The fourth part of this paper, based on the previous three parts, putsforward the main countermeasure to cultivating public charityconsciousness, and poses the standpoints and suggestions withfeasibility from the perspectives of the public, the social environmentand the charity organization.The author, through making the arrangement of the above partsand trying to fulfill the strategic task of constructing a socialisticharmony society, analyzes the significance of public charityconsciousness comprehensively and profoundly. The author, on thebasis of analyzing the basic concept and the essential characteristics ofmodern charity, explores the deficiencies in the public charity consciousness of our country and the causes of them, and, then, it putsforward some specific measures to facilitate the cultivation of thepublic charity consciousness of our people in many different fields andat different levels, in order to serve the construction of a harmonioussociety in China better.
