Under the environment of electronic commerce, the interests of consumers hasbeen changed. These changes are mainly about the following aspects: first, the contentand the scope of the consumers’ interests have been expanded; secondly, the way torealize the consumers’ rights and interests has been changed. Our country has notestablished the related laws and regulations to protect E-commerce consumers’ rightsand interests. Moreover, the new content and requirement of the E-commerceconsumer’s interests have not been confirmed too. Because of the features of theE-commerce and the unsound corresponding system, the rights and interests ofconsumers cannot be guaranteed effectively in our country. While in developedcountries, E-commerce is considered as the effective means of seizing theinternational market and integrating the advantage of global resources. They focus onthe development of E-commerce by means of setting up consumers’ confidence andhave embarked on the journey of E-commerce legislation for a long time. They havebuilt a relatively complete legal system of consumer protection law.Our country should learn from the developed countries in E-commercelegislation, and try to establish and perfect the protection system of consumers’ rightsand interests on the basis of the Chinese national conditions. We must establish thenew content of consumers’ rights, stipulate obligations of operators, perfectsupervision of the entities and behavior of the business, and establish new regulationsto protect consumers under E-commerce. We should also take measures to encourageand promote the companies and enterprise to operate under the legal permission. Inaddition, China should speed up the legislation on the credit information system andcomplete a community-wide credit system early. Finally, consumers shouldenhance their awareness of safety and the consciousness of maintaining their ownrights.
