Research On Protection Of The Consumers' Rights In The E-commerce

For the features of timely, convenient and low-cost, E-commerce is increasingly favored by the vast number of consumers. But at the same time its cross-boundary of the virtual has caused a great deal of consumer protection problems, for examples, the problem of internet fraud, security transactions, privacy protection, terms format, and the problem of jurisdiction. All these problems have seriously affected the consumers' confident in e-commerce, even hindered the development of e-commerce B2C model.The introduction of the article illuminates the significance and motivation of writing, and the text is departed into four-parts. The first part tells us the necessity of the consumer protection under the background of e-commerce and the problems we faced. It tells the necessity by two aspects-the special transaction of e-commerce and the weak position of consumers. And the problems we faced include the five aspects which are mentioned above.The second part introduces the status of legislation and the adoption of law about e-commerce in our country. Also it includes five aspects-consumer fraud, security transactions, right of privacy, terms format, and jurisdiction.The third part introduces the provisions and measures about the protections of internet consumers which are implemented in international organization, USA, German, and Japan.The forth part gives the solutions for the second part, including establishing the system of internet consumer rights, establishing an online credit system , and creating an dispute settlement mechanism which are made for the e-commerce consumers.And the last part summarizes the advices which are mentioned in the text.
