| With the more frequently between Taiwan and the mainland in economic activities;deeper and deeper in political, cultural exchange, the relationship between Taiwan andthe mainland is more close than ever before. The signing and implementation of the《Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement》 marks that the economiccooperation and exchanges between Taiwan and the mainland get into the developmentstage of normalization and mechanisms. This paper makes a preliminary study of theagreement from the content and the nature of the agreement, and the relation betweenthe agreement and WTO; and the benefit of practice after it signing; and the disputeresolution. On the basic study of the content and nature of the agreement, the paperfocuses on the nature of the regional economy and the relation between WTO rules.Also in this paper, the author makes the rules of origin as an example to evaluate theprovisional rules of origin of the agreement, more over, the author makesrecommendations on the mechanism of dispute settlement. |
