Taiwan-funded Enterprises Labor Rights And Interests Protection Question Research

Since Reform and Opening up in China, there has come up with more and moreTaiwan businessmen to invest on the mainland. They have made great contribution forsocial and economy development, which led to a series of new problems at the sametime. One of the most serious problems is the infringement of labor rights and interestsfor employees. General concern has been aroused among people especially because offrequent ancients of jumping from the top of the building existed in the Foxconncompany. So it is of importance and necessity to study on protecting labor rights andinterests for Taiwan employees in Taiwan-funded enterprises in this context.Firstly, this paper makes analysis on the present situation about Taiwan-fundedenterprises’ developing and protection on the labor rights and interests for employees.The rights for employees in the Taiwan-funded companies has been improved in somedegree, although there existed some infringement issues, such as improper managementon labor employment and labor contract, irrational structure of low salary and overtime,etc. There has many reasons contributing to generate infringements, not only ones fromemployees themselves, but other reasons that are concerned with labor market, thegovernment and law enforcement outside of the enterprises themselves. Theinfringement issues root in the internal reasons inside of enterprises while this furtheraffect comes from outside. Finally, followed the principles of protection of labor rightson the basis of the use of the theory of labor relations and human hypothetical theoryand combined with reality in our country, this paper offers some measurements tostrengthen protection of labor rights and interests for employees in the Taiwan-fundedenterprises by following the principle on protecting labor rights and interests, such asways from the enterprise itself, the employee, government and law.
