With the shift of surplus labor force, there were more difficulties in the agricultural industry. The speed of the shift of men was faster than that of women in the shift of surplus labor force, resulting in numerous women who stayed in rural areas assumed productive liability. It proved that traditional division of work has made a transition from "The men plough and the women weave" to "The men work and the women plough". The role of rural women has become increasingly important; meanwhile the status in the family has been improving. The ratio of rural women’s labor income to the total was also growing and rural women have gotten more chances to share resources. However, due to low-level quality of rural women as a whole, limited resource share, and limited grasping market information, rural women would face more difficulties in agriculture.Rural cooperative economic organizations are of great importance for solving problems in agriculture, which are the bridge to connect peasant households and the market. In this paper, an empirical analysis of rural women’s participation in rural cooperative economic organizations is given under the background of agricultural feminization. It is proved that rural women have great demand for rural cooperative economic organizations and shows the unique feature; the participation of rural women is various in forms; rural women’s overall satisfaction to rural cooperative economic organizations is not high; rural women have a relevant understanding of the reconstruction of the organizational system. This study demonstrates that there are three factors influencing rural women’s participation in rural cooperative economic organizations:personal factor, internal factor in organization, and exterior environment. Personal factors include the individual’s level of education, cooperative consciousness, self-organizing capacity and the social capital of rural women. Internal factors in organization influenced rural women’s participation in rural cooperative economic organizations in three ways. Firstly, the organizations have a recessive sexual orientation in receiving members. Secondly, the type and the level of organizations have an important influence. Thirdly, the management of internal organizations is lack of female members to participate in. Exterior environment include policy environment, economic environment and cultural environment. By an empirical analysis and influencing factors of rural women’s participation in rural cooperative economic organizations, the author proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
