| At the end of the twentieth Century, A large number of migrant workers went to the city. In China’s vast rural area came out the phenomenon of Left-behind children. This phenomenon is one of the social problems in China. It is an unique phenomenon in China, and it will exist for a long time. Many researchers find that, the estranged parent-child relationship is the cause of the problem of left-behind children. This study aimed to explore the present situation and characteristics of parent-child relationship of rural left-behind children, to explore the main factors affect the parent-child relationship of rural left-behind children. At last, In the perspective of social work, put forward the solutions to improve the parent-child relationship of rural left-behind children,the solutions to improve family cohesion.This research based on the tructure function theoryã€family system theoryã€social support theory and based on the investigation of Guanba Village,Xianfeng County, Enshi Autonomous Prefecture,came into the primary school of the village and the left-behind children’home.Through the interviews and participatory research to explore the present situation and characteristics of parent-child relationship of rural left-behind children. The research result is that the content and the way of the communication are very monotonous,the relationship between the parents and left-behind is estranged. The conclusions of the research is that the relationship between the parents and left-behind is estranged.The main reasons leading to this are the left-behind children’parents lack communication concepts and skills; the guardians do not play the role of communication media; the communication effect between the left-behind children and the parents is poor; from the perspective of social work to intervene the relationship between the left-behind children and their parents has certain feasibility.The innovation of this study lies in the following aspects:in the aspect of theory, this article use the structure function theory to analysis of the causes of the estranged relationship between the parents and the left-behind children; in the aspect of research method,this study uses the method of qualitative research,through structured interviews and participatory research to collect materials,the materials is rich and comprehensive. |
