China has experienced rapid economic development and its status in the international politics has been improved. However, with a variety of great achievements, China has been confronted with the lack of identity of its own. In other words, because China experienced the transformation on the international political position at present, it became very thorny to answer the question of "who are we?" As the matter of this, there is debate about the China’s strategy and position both at home and abroad. Naturally, it is not difficult to answer the question of the "identity" for most countries in the cold war, especially for the Chinese, it doesn’t become a puzzling problem. But after the cold war, the collapse of the Soviet Union, along with the international political situation meeting change, this has become a pressing problem. The main purpose of this paper is to answer "who are we?" That is in the international society, first in East Asia society, what kind of identity China has. The main method of this paper is using the analysis of identity from constructivism to solve the problem. On the analysis of Alexander Wendt’s constructivism on "identity" of the interpretation of the concept, as well as the understanding of other relevant theoretical schools to the concept, the basis of the first analysis is to know what the identity is. Because in the book of "social theory of international politics" put forward the identity formation two logic, that natural selection and cultural choice. Then based on this, to the national identity formation that the main influence factors are:the identity of self and the identity of others. The two aspects can be analyzed respectively from the physical factor (natural selection) and the cultural factors (cultural choice) aspects. This is the presented theoretical framework of the paper. Through the theoretical framework of the identity of the paper, the identity of China in East Asia is analyzed. That is, according to this hypothesis, analysis framework to analyze the identity of China in East Asia region mainly from the identity of China itself and the identity of china from "others" in East Asian. The analyses for the two problems are very difficult to operate. There exist such problems, such as:how to measure and the analysis of the identity of China itself, or Chinese identity? Also we can put this issue generalization that becomes how to analyze a national identity? The paper put forward on two aspects:physical factors and cultural factors to analysis. A detailed analysis will be in below. In addition, there are also the same problems of measuring the identity of china from "others" in East Asian. We will closely base on the theory of the framework of the hypothesis. How to verify this paper according to its assumptions and theoretical framework provided the conclusion is also a very difficult issue. In this paper, through the analysis of the Angle is China’s behavior to verify the identity of China before the verdict is correct. How to analyze Chinese foreign behavior? We will discuss the problems at the end of the paper.
