With the gradual diversification of modern development, rapid economic development, population movement to accelerate the number of children decreasing and population increase in life expectancy and other factors affect, resulting in a yearly basis the number of empty nesters in China. The aging population in China’s rapid growth rate of3.28%annually, which is five times the growth rate of the total population. Data show that of empty-nest families in rural areas (including the empty-nest-like family) up to48.9%, and showed a rising trend. Some experts predict that China in2030, the aging population will reach300million, of which90%are empty-nesters families, that is, the number of empty nesters will exceed200million. Empty nesters issue has become a society as a whole can not be ignored, the problems to be solved.Empty-nesters due to their own demographic characteristics limit the vulnerable segments of the socio-demographic, empty-nesters in rural areas vulnerable groups in vulnerable groups. By the lack of economic substance, the troubles of the poor quality of life, mental life of the high sensitivity, a direct result of difficult for them to rely on their own power to get rid of the plight of reality. Now empty-nesters in rural areas is no longer only the individual problems of individual families, but is also of great general significance of social phenomena and social problems.
