Research On The Social Care Services Of Empty Nest Elderly In Urban Community From The Perspective Of Social Support Theory

In recent years,the elderly population in China has grown rapidly,and the problem of old-age care for the elderly has become more and more urgent.Moreover,with the acceleration of urban economic development and the pace of life,there are more and more elderly people living alone in the hollows of urban communities,which makes the problem of old-age care for empty nesters more prominent.Wuhan is a relatively large city with empty nesters.Therefore,the research object of this paper is the empty nesting elderly in Wuhan,and the X community is the key choice.This study mainly uses the perspective of social support theory to analyze the social support of the current X community empty nesters from different support subjects.The research method selects the combination of quantitative research and qualitative research,and uses questionnaires and unstructured interviews to understand.The needs of the empty nesters and the support they received were finally given in terms of formal support and informal support.According to the author's research,there are some empty nesters in the X community who have certain economic and material needs.Most of the empty nesters have great needs in terms of spiritual comfort,and the current spiritual comfort support fails to meet their needs,life care and The demand for health care is relatively small.The author thinks that the most suitable mode for the elderly in the X community is the community home care model.To solve the problem of the current empty nest elderly,it is necessary to use the community as the carrier,the government social organization and other subjects to intervene in the community,expand the functions at the community level,and build relative A sound support system.I hope this study can provide some support for Wuhan to solve the problem of elderly people living in empty nests.
