Urban House Practical Demand And The Improvement Of The Social Support System

With the accelerated increasing number of the aging population, the pensionissues are extremely concerned. After a series of social security system reforms inChina, the economic situation has been changed significantly for urban elderly. At thesame time, the elderly care issues are increasingly prominent. On the one hand,changes in family structure lead to weak family support functions. On the other hand,with the extreme elderly care agencies service resources shortage, the home careservice came into being.The main object of this study is Beijing L community elderly. According to thecondition of elderly home care services, this study analyzes the reality of demandabout the urban elderly home cares services and the service supply conditions. Inaddition, it finds the gap between demand and supply, and improves the city homecares social support system.This paper includes five parts. Part I, Introduction. This part introduces thebackground and the significance of this study, defines some basic concepts, reviewsthe previous relevant literature, and describes the research ideas and researchmethods. Part II, The theory about home care services. This part introduces sometheories such as the basic assumption of human nature, theory about socialembedded in, the social network theory, classification compensation model, andsub-task theory. Part III, Demand analysis about the city home care. First, introducethe basic situation about the elderly population in Beijing and then research the homecare demand in L community. Use research result to reveal the urban elderly homecare services demand. Part IV, improve the recommendations of the Urban Familysocial support system. It improves Urban Family social support system from twoperspectives and three aspects. Part V, The main conclusions and inadequate. Thispart introduces the paper’s main conclusions and weaknesses.
