The Study Of The Developing Mode Of Sports Diplomacy Of China From The Perspective Of New Public Diplomacy

Since the founding of New China, Sports diplomacy plays animportant role in the maintenance of national sovereignty, to break theWestern blockade, to promote international exchanges and cooperation,and expand the international influence, and to promote with the othercountries of mutual understanding, communication and friendship, andenhance international reputation. As a integral part of the overalldiplomacy, China explored a sports diplomacy development model in linewith the national interests demand and diplomatic strategy layout. Bothpractical and theoretical are the driving force of China’s sports diplomacywork, Our country is increasing emphasis on the construction of "softpower" and the image of the country. Sports diplomacy, public diplomacyand cultural diplomacy are more and more important in the diplomaticwork. Therefore, the exploration of the sports diplomacy developmentmodel under the new situation to meet the new demands of diplomacy isnecessary.This paper argues that the development mode of sports diplomacy isdetermined by four elements，they are "target concept, available resourcesdevelopment, organizational structure construction and performanceassessment calculations". These four elements are also the analysisparadigm of this article, and the theoretical basis of this article is the "softpower" theory, constructivist theory of international cooperation and theglobal governance theory.First of all，through sort out the history of Chinese sports diplomacy, drawn to the status quo of China’s development mode of sports diplomacy,then， through case analysis, analysis of the pattern of successfulexperience and the insufficient of sports diplomacy development mode.Then thinking further, outlook on the development mode of sportsdiplomacy，interspersed the research of the innovative mechanisms ofdevelopment model of sports diplomacy in the new era and theexperience in the United States. Finally, draw the conclusion.
