As a Northeast Asian region, ROK(Republic of Korea)affected by the impact of nationalstrength and international environment surrounding,the core area of its diplomatic strategy isin Northeast Asia.During the period from the ROK’s establishment to the1960s, the mainobjective of the ROK Northeast Asia diplomatic strategy is on America’s side, at the sametime to prevent the infiltration of communism.From the end of1960s, with the changes ofinternational situation in Northeast Asia, ROK Northeast Asia diplomatic strategy haschanged.During this period, South Korea in the Korea-US relations show more autonomy,while communication with the DPRK（Democratic People’s Republic of Korea）and othersocialist countries in Northeast Asia, and this situation continued into the1980s.
