Since the invention of Internet, the human public participation in the way and have begun to change. Internet network by its unique convenience and Hyperspace for people of a range of social participation provided a condition, but its anonymity and unorganized brought some drawbacks also let people in convenient participate in conditions be confused. Network public participation in the way for social development whether is good is bad, it positive function to society, and what are the negative function, these are the focus of this study.With the case of Yao Jiaxin as a cut-in point, this paper sets out to discuss the social influence of internet participation in the information age, in clear the concept of social network to trying to explore in the information times of network society of public participation in social influence. This study discusses the case of Yao Jiaxin, analyzes the social function of internet participation and reflects on the limitation and the problems it has caused. Some countermeasures are also proposed in view of the existing situation and on the basis of the study. Through the analysis, this paper argues that the network public participation in modern society, having the effect that cannot replace, it plays express public appeal, reasonable social control, help public decision-making, democracy and the role of consciousness, etc. But the network public participation in also has its particular social negative function, we should strengthen its positive function through, avoid the negative function to achieve social resources, maintain social stability, promoting social development purposes.This paper consists of five chapters. Chapter one is the introduction. In this part, the background and methodology of the research are mentioned. Chapter two is the theoretical framework of the research. Some theories and concepts, such as Internet Participation, are interpreted and discussed in this chapter. Chapter three sets out to discuss the case of Yao Jiaxin with a detailed analysis of the social function of internet participation in this case. Chapter four discusses the social function of internet participation. The significance and limitations of internet participation are discussed and analyzed in this part. Chapter five offers some suggestions and countermeasures on the issue of internet participation on the basis of the current situation in China.
