The Research On Ideas About Life Morals And Its Contemporary Values Of Tao Xingzhi

Tao Xingzhi is a famous educator and ideologist in modern times. He made a great contribution to Chinese education. This paper studies his moral education about life.The paper is divided into five parts:the first part is about the formation of Tao Xingzhi’s moral education of life, including the background of its creation and developing process of this theory; the second part researches contents of Tao Xingzhi’s moral education of life, combining with practice of education of Tao Xingzhi; the third part analyses the goal of Tao Xingzhi’s moral education. In this part, the emphasis is on the "zhenren"; the forth part discusses Tao Xingzhi’s methods on moral education of life, including self-rule of students^group education、labor education and so on; the fifth part focuses on the value of the theory of Tao Xingzhi’s moral education of life. The content is divided into value of theory and value of practice.Tao Xingzhi combined traditional moral theories of China with advanced moral theory in western. He created the theory of moral education of life according to practice. The theory conforms to the situation in China. In the process of moral education, Tao Xingzhi pointed that life is the center and practice is the base. He thought people can study knowledge of moral and improve their moral behavior. In modern times, studying the theory of Tao Xingzhi’s moral education of life, and keeping it up with the times, is not only the need of constructing model of moral education, but also the requirement of reform of moral education in China.
