An Analysis Of Deng Xiaoping’s Theory Of Livelihood

Deng Xiaoping’s thought of people’s livelihood directly from Chinesecharacteristic socialism practice, and it deeply influences the process of reform andopening-up. As the general designer of the reform and opening-up, Deng Xiaopingknows the people’s livelihood is not only related to national security and social harmony,but also related to the vital interests of the people. Deng Xiaoping’s thought of people’slivelihood is the sum of a series of theories which take the Marxism as the guide. As theinheritance and development of traditional Chinese people’s livelihood thought, it isbased on Chinese national conditions and concerns about the livelihood of the peoplequestion. Deng Xiaoping’s thought of people’s livelihood emphasizes that economicconstruction is the most important political. It attempts to solve the problem of people’slife, and constantly improve the living standards of the people, safeguard the interests ofthe people, and finally let the people to live a happy life. In the practice to solve variousproblems of people’s livelihood in China, it arouses the people’s pursuit of wealth andpromotes the rapid development of Chinese economy. In the process of building thewell-off society, this paper tries to systematically explain the Deng Xiaoping’s thoughtof people’s livelihood, which can deal with today’s livelihood of the people question,promote social harmony, and has a certain value and significance.This paper first analyzes the origin of Deng Xiaoping’s thought of people’slivelihood, which believes that modernization is the largest livelihood. This papermainly studies the non-balanced development strategy and the goals of people’s livelihood construction, and summers up the field、characteristics and contribution ofDeng Xiaoping ’s thought of people’s livelihood. The article consists of four parts.The first part of this paper studies the origin and historical conditions of DengXiaoping’s thought of people’s livelihood. It consists of three parts, which firstlyanalyzes the theories’ source and background. Then it analyzes the foundation of DengXiaoping’s thought of people’s livelihood from different perspectives. At last it pointsout that the significance of Deng Xiaoping’s thought of people’s livelihood. Themodernization is the largest livelihood.The second part of this paper studies the non-balanced development strategy. It isto let some people and some areas to get rich firstly. This part firstly analyzes thenon-balanced development strategy background and theoretical basis. Then it analyzesthe main content of the non-balanced development strategy. It refers to let some peopleand some areas to get rich firstly and finally to achieve common prosperity. Finally itanalyzes the characteristics of non-balanced development strategy.The third part of this paper studies the goals of people’s livelihood construction. Itis the well-off society and common prosperity. This part analyzes the primary goal andthe ultimate goal. This part firstly analyzed how to realize the well-off society and theproblem of food and clothing, which includes the subject content and pathway. Then itanalyzes how to realize common prosperity. Common prosperity is the essentialcharacteristics of socialism. Finally it analyses the content of common prosperity, and itpoints out that the common prosperity is the standard of livelihood issues. The fourth part of this paper studies the field and characteristics of people’slivelihood construction. As the general designer of the reform and opening-up, DengXiaoping found the unfair phenomenon in the process of modernization. He contactspractice and thinks that it firstly solve the basic livelihood issues and then developeducation、employment and increase income, make people gradually get rich. This partfinally analyzes the contribution of Deng Xiaoping’s thought of people’s livelihood forthe Marxism.
