Deng Xiaoping's Thought Of The People's Livelihood And The Practice Research

The Communist Party of China always has put much emphasis on people’s livelihood and concerned about the people’s sufferings, and takes protecting the fundamental interests of the people as the starting point and the home for work constantly. The party’s second generation of leaders whose core is Deng Xiaoping, has found the people’s livelihood road which conformed with Chinese reality and subjected to better improve the people’s living standard, on the basis of inheriting the beneficial parts of the Chinese traditional people’s livelihood thoughts, learning lessons from the building of socialism since the establishment of New China, and learning lessons from other country’s people’s livelihood practices. Deng Xiaoping’s people’s livelihood thought and practice is a complete system, is the inheriting and developing of the Marxist people’s livelihood thought and the important thinking basis of undertakings since Reform and Opening up. Therefore, the research of Deng Xiaoping’s people’s livelihood thought and practice, not only has important theoretical meaning, but also has an important meaning to today’s construction of people’s livelihood.This article takes historical materialism as the theoretical foundation, combining sociology, politics, public administration principle of related disciplines. On the basis of digging out Deng Xiaoping’s people’s livelihood thought and practice, sorting out its development clue by closely relating the practice of our country’s socialist modernization after the Reform and Opening up, in order to show its logic and the main content more clearly therefore summarizing its theoretical significance and practical enlightenment. This article consists of three parts, its basic contents as follow.First section is about the formation conditions of Deng Xiaoping’s people’s livelihood thought and practice. Deng Xiaoping’s people’s livelihood thought and practice has inherited beneficial parts of the Chinese traditional people’s livelihood thoughts, which insist Marxist people’s livelihood thought as the theoretical foundation, meanwhile absorbing and drawing lessons from the constructions of people’s livelihood such as our country, former Soviet Union and western countries.Second section is about the theoretical foundation of Deng Xiaoping’s people’s livelihood thought and practice. It take the theory of constructing the socialism with Chinese characteristics as the theoretical foundation:socialism essence and basic task is the understanding premise, the fundamental realities of the primary stage of socialism are the realistic basis, socialist democracy is the political guarantee, socialist spiritual civilization is the spiritual strut, Reform and Opening up is the basic method, Chinese Communist Party is the leadership core of improving people’s livelihood. Third section is about the main content of Deng Xiaoping’s people’s livelihood thought and practice, which is rich in content. It includes:The three-step development strategy; education development, improve education quantity; make efforts to promote employment; solve the people’s housing problems; maintain social stability. This section is the key and difficult point in this article.Fourth section is about the theoretical meaning and practical enlightenment of Deng Xiaoping’s people’s livelihood thought and practice. Theoretical meaning is embodied in it not only has important methodological significance, but also it enriches and develops the Marxism interest and masses view. Practice meaning includes it is beneficial to the stability of the Chinese Communist Party’s position, livelihood issues must be solved in the process of development, building a harmonious socialist society should put the livelihood first.
