Rawls is one of representitives of political philosophy, who changes thekern of western philosophy study especially moral philosophy from freedom tojustice. Kant has a huge effect on the Rawls’ demonstration of Justice. Rawls’original position is based on hypothesis in order to clarify his two justiceprinciples. As far as Rawls concerned, he applies the method of Kantianconstructivism. Not only the pattern, but also Rawls absorbs some other partsand does some creative work to unfold a brand new theory viewpoint. That’sthe reason why we say Rawls inherits and develops Kant’s constructivemethod. In this dissertation, I will discuss the relationship between “the theory ofJustice” of Rawls and Kantian constructivism through the comparison of“categorical of imperative” and “the principles of justice”. First of all, we payattention to analysis of the background of categorical of imperative, details andconstructive method. Then, as comparison, Rawls’ theory will be alsomentioned as above. Finally, the conclusion is stated. Learning the method ofKantian constructivism is the one part of the conclusion, the other one is muchmore important for Rawls to elaborate his own theory.
