Research On The Social Protection System Of Rural Orphans In China

Orphan is the weak and vulnerable group in China while the rural orphan is theweakest one. They are less focused than urban orphan by the society. In the context of thecurrent situation, their circumstance is more difficult than ever. Without the protectionfrom outside, their basic demand will not be met. Orphan can be protected by the state,their relatives and the NGO (Non-government Organization) in practice. But the level of theprotection needs to be raised. As s result, the aim of the article is to reflect the real situationof the rural orphan and the effectiveness of the protection system, also, to make somecorresponding suggestions to improve the system.This article includes six sections. The first chapter is the introduction which describesthe background, document review, research techniques, research content and innovativepoints; the second chapter introduces the definition of orphans and the theory basis; thethird chapter is the description of the orphans’ requirements according to the investigation;chapter4explain the provision from the rural orphan protection system then the followingchapter discuss the pitfalls of the system; the last chapter is to bring up related suggestionsto improve the protection system.
