From The Dimension Of The Meaning Of Life To Understand The Political Legitimacy Of Yanan Red Regime

In the Yan’an period. Red political power led by the Communist Party of China gained wide acceptance. For such a political phenomenon, this dissertation attempts to interpret it from the angle of the meaning of life. Since China gradually entered to the modern society, Traditional value had lost legitimacy and the meaning of life had lost the metaphysical commitment. This feeling of loss became stronger because for the outbreak of China’s War of Resistance against Japan and the national crisis. But Red political power provided a commitment for the meaning of life in a sense. People realized the meaning of life in political order of Yan’an, and they supported the political community. So Red political power gained legitimacy.This dissertation contains six chapters. Chapterl describes the research subject and research current situation, and explains the key words "The meaning of life" and "Legitimacy". Chapter2discusses the loss of individual meaning of life and the finding of people to the meaning of life. In this process, the contradiction that between subject and norm and the contradiction that between reality and transcendence became the main obstacles. Chapter3and Chapter4discusses Red political power in yan’an successfully resolved these two pairs of contradiction by political practice. As the resolution of these two pairs of contradictions, individual meaning of life was to achieve. So people supported to Red political power in yan’an. Chapter5describes the political life and non-political life during the Yan’an period. The non-political life was the important supplement to the political life, and it contributed to the meaning of life to achieve to integral. Chapter6is a very short generalization, and this chapter discusses the important enlightenment to contemporary political life:We should pay attention to individual meaning of life.:We should dig legitimacy resources in history: The meaning of life cannot leave the realistic foundation.
