The CPC’s central Marxism education activities means that the generalizedMarxism activities that the Communist Party of China carries out in order to improvethe level of the Marxism of the whole party, to enhance the ability to use Marxism tosolve practical problems and self-consciousness, to ensure the smooth conduct of theChinese revolution and socialist construction. The activities which are based onMarxism theory, in essence, are both a type of political education and a type ofeducation of party spirit, party style and party discipline. With in-depth progress ofreform and opening up, the internal and external environment of the central Marxismeducation activities have changed dramatically. At present, China’s market economyreform, social transformation, further promotion of network information, the tide ofglobalization, and hegemony, intricate interwoven anti-Marxism have presented manychallenges to the CPC’s central Marxism education activities. Carrying out the studyof Marxism within the party is of great significance to consolidate the guidingposition of Marxism in the ideological field to ensure the smooth development ofsocialism cause with Chinese characteristics.Reform and opening up having been carried out for more than30years, in theprocess of continuously pushing forward the reform and opening up, the CPC’scentral Marxism education and domestic economic and social developmentcomplement each other and promote each other to form a benign interactiverelationship. On the one hand, since the reform and opening up,the CPC’s centralMarxism education activities provide a strong guarantee for the Chinese revolutionand construction, which prompts the reform and opening up to progress steadily. Onthe other hand, new situations and new problems emerging in the reform and openingup also continue to put forward new proposition and provide new practical experienceand material condition for the CPC’s central Marxism education; thus the level of theCPC’s central Marxism education activities upgrades. To this, the Party CentralCommittee has an accurate cognition and grasp. Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, and HuJintao as representative of the three generations of collective leadership timely carry out a series of central Marxism education activities among the whole party membersaccording to the new situations and new problems which emerge under the newhistorical conditions, which has accumulated many effective good experience andgood practice. These good experience and good practice constitute the practical sourceof the study of the basic experience of CPC’s central Marxism education since thereform and opening up.This thesis adheres to the basic viewpoints of Marxism dialectical materialismand historical materialism, combines the literature review with field visits,comprehensively uses various research methods to carry out the overall analysis ofhistorical background, historical context and historical experience of the CPC’scentral Marxism education activities from the analysis of the concept of the CPC’scentral Marxism education to provide a salutary lesson for the current CPC’s centralMarxism education activitiesThe thesis is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction, whichmainly discusses the topic origins, research status and research methods andtechnology roadmap. The second party focuses on the meaning and function of theCPC’s central Marxism education activities starting from its concept discussion. Thethird part analyzes the new situation at home and abroad since the reform and openingup from two angles of internal and external environment of the CPC’s centralMarxism education activities. The fourth part reviews the history of the CPC’s centralMarxism education activities on the basis of archive files. The fifth part explores theexperience and enlightenment of the CPC’s central Marxism education activitiescombining with Comrade Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao’s Marxismeducational thought. The sixth part is the conclusion, which gives an objectivesummary of the main research results and the deficiency of this thesis; at the sametime, points out the direction of future efforts.
