The rapiddevelopment of society not only brought different new social contradictions, but alsoprompted the mediation system of their own evolution and development.Historically, mediation system has a long history in our country. Ancient Chinahas a traditional concept that harmony is most precious. Chinese people unwilling toconfront with others at the court until they have done this. In china, there is the deepmasses foundation and historical tradition. In recent years, all over the countrylaunched the height of "big mediation" movement, and mediation organization in allparts of China explored the best mediation pattern for mass basis in positive. How toeffectively consolidate for people’s mediation, administrative mediation, judicialmediation, how to well regulate the relations and connections between mediation andcontentious procedure, how to built a justice, equitable, low cost channel to solve theinterest conflicts for the masses, are extremely urgent tasks. With the enacted of thepeople"mediation method on January1st,2011, it gives a right direction to people’smediation for further development. It believe that through the mediation of thedevelopment and improvement,"Oriental Experience" will blossom.With the proceeding of the mediation work, the system of the big mediationbasically completed. People’s mediation occupies a pivotal position in the system ofthe big mediation. Since China implemented its reform and opening up policies, thepeople’s mediation has underwent a dramatic transformation. At the same time, itexposed to many insufficient and defects.This paper mainly discussed not only how the people’s mediation works underthe system of the big mediation, and the problems existing in people’s mediation andthe solution, but also how to establish the relationship between people’s mediation andother mediation system and so forth. By studying these problems to analyze thepeople’s mediation under the big mediation.
