The economy of Japan needed urgent development after World War II because it wasstricken hugely in the war. The regional economic policies implemented by Japan recoveredthe Japanese economy and progressed more. Japan has established friendly diplomaticrelations with many countries by means of economic diplomacy with economic assistanceand economic cooperation in process of economic development.Specific performance:(1)Making itself as part as one of Security Council by efforts ofall parties and strengthening its role in Group of Eight.(2) Pointing the diplomacy to theAsian region and implementing economic assistance to East Asia. The low profile of politicalmake Japan winning more and more supports in international. Japan is seeking the way topolitical power under the premise of the economic power. Japan is participating in a growingnumber of international affairs with strong momentum and advancing the progress of politicalpower.This etc analysises the Japanese strategy of economic diplomacy after the earthquake bysummarizing the strategic experience of the regional economic diplomacy. The etc has3parts:(1) The overview of Japanese regional economic policy. It is a bedding of the economicdiplomacy.(2)The practical features of the regional economic diplomacy of Japan after WorldWar II. It is a generalization of the characteristic and superiority of Japanese regionaleconomic diplomacy in each period.(3) The Political effects of the regional economicdiplomacy in Japan after World War II. It is a strategic lessons learned of Japanese becominga political power from a economic power by the regional economic diplomacy. It hasreference for our economic diplomacy.Finally, it is the epilogue: It is an analysis of policy selection of Japanese regionaldiplomacy after the earthquake. And it is an analysis of how will Japan adjust its foreignpolicy under the condition of the economy having been severely destroyed.
