Monographic Study On Spiritual And Cultural Life Of New Generation Of Rural Migrant Workers

In recent years, with the reform and opening up policy and the quickening of theprocess of modernization, the new generation of rural migrant workers has become a hugesocial group. They are playing an important role in city construction and socialdevelopment and have made great contributions. However, in the urban rapid development,the new generation of migrant workers’ spiritual and cultural life situation is not optimistic.It presents the characteristics of the hinterlands, island and vulgar. The lack of the overallsituation needs improving urgently.The first chapter introduces the related concepts and new features of the newgeneration migrant workers. First, economic factors, Migrant workers’ income is lowand cost of living is high, at the same time that the enterprise embezzles part of wages ofmigrant workers still exists. Second, the institutional factors, the division of the dualurban-rural household registration system; relatively lagged development of social securitysystem. Third, social factors, the attention of the government and related departments arenot enough; city residents’ difference and rejection; the social mainstream media’sattention is lag.
